Baltimore's Only Psychiatrist-led KAP Groups

We provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) groups in Baltimore, Maryland. As a psychiatrist, Dr. Miller offers safe and personalized care to those who have not found relief through conventional treatment methods. KAP groups allow for a unique and effective form of therapy that can help individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD. There is some evidence that it is helpful for OCD, eating disorders and compulsive behaviors. Ketamine can be very helpful in breaking negative thought patterns.

 

When psychiatric medications are not enough, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy can help. We offer Baltimore's only psychiatrist-led KAP groups. Dr. Miller's KAP groups have a maximum of 4 participants and Barbara Fowler, Ph.D. helps facilitate. Patients are never left alone while experiencing ketamine.

Preparation - Thursday, February 8th, 5:30 -7:30 PM (no ketamine)

Ketamine sessions: Thursdays, February 2/8, 2/15, 2/22 5-8 PM (participants need a driver)

Final integration: Tuesday March 5th 5:30-7:30 PM (no ketamine)

Preparation:  Thursday, March 7 5:30-7:30PM (no ketamine)

Ketamine sesions: Saturdays, March 9th, 16th and 30th 10 AM-1PM

(participants need a driver)

Final integration:  Monday April 8th at 5-8 PM (no ketamine)

Preparation: Tuesday April 16, 2024  5:30-7:30 PM (no ketamine)

Ketamine sessions: Wednesdays, 5 PM to 8 PM -- 4/17, 4/24, and 5/1

(participants need a driver)

Final Integration: Wednesday 5/8/24 5:30-7:30 PM (no ketamine)

Insurance Policy
KAP Fees

Fees & Insurance

Dr. Miller is not in-network for any insurance plans.

 

Before joining a KAP group, we will have a brief 15 minute phone conversation and I will speak with your psychiatrist / prescriber - there is no charge for this initial information exchange.

If KAP sounds to be an appropriate treatment, we will have one individual session for further assessment - you may request an insurance claim to submit to your insurer for this evaluation.

 

KAP Groups are not covered by insurance and can not be submitted to insurance.

Initial evaluation: $350

​

KAP Group, 5 sessions with psychiatrist and co-facilitator: $1950 payable by check or Zelle. There is a 3% charge for credit card payments.

​

Ketamine will be prescribed through the Towson Pharmacy. The approximate cost is $70 for all 3 sessions.
